SHY® Sunfacta cassette roller blind systems are ideal for shading large or small areas. Designed specifically for the demanding contract market, the roller barrel and operating mechanism are fully enclosed in a neat headbox.
With five headboxes and nine roller barrel sizes available, SHY® Sunfacta blinds can be installed on windows of many sizes - from standard dimensions up to extremely large areas of bespoke glazing.
With a such a wide range of sizes and fabric options Sunfacta blinds can be used for all sorts of applications - from glare and heat control window blinds to room and space dividers, projection screens in offices and use in home cinemas.
Manual or electric operation
Sunfacta cassette roller blinds can be operated manually by side chain or gearbox with an attached (or detachable) operating handle. With SHY®'s motorised blind options for the Sunfacta range, the motor is fully contained in the roller barrel and concealed within a neat headbox. Motorising enables a wide range of control system to be used, from a simple switch through to fully automated operation and linking to building management or home automation systems.
The headbox of Sunfacta cassette roller blinds conceals both roller barrel and operating mechanism and can be anodised or powder coated to any RAL/BS colour - enabling co-ordination with room decor.
Easy access for maintenance
With Sunfacta, access for maintenance via a removable front cover is available from all the box sizes, including the 65mm.
Heavy duty hem bar
On larger blinds, a heavy duty, weighted hem bar is used to ensure the blind fabric remains flat. This fearture is also essential where a Sunfacta cassette roller blind is employed as a projection screen.
Twin system – double benefit
SHY® Sunfacta’s 'twin' system enables two roller blinds to be contained in the same headbox, so two fabrics can be used for different functions in the same blind.
For example, a screen blind to control glare could be coupled with a black-out cloth - to provide the ultimate in light control. Another alternative could be combining a shading material with a projection screen, so the blind has a dual purpose.
It is also possible to combine the benefits of a ZIP® Blind with a Sunfacta, so the blind nearest the outside is a ZIP® Blind, fitted with a blackout fabric and the blind on the room side is a Sunfacta with an open screen fabric and no side channels.
SHY® Sunfacta blinds are made to measure in sizes up to 40m2. Five aluminium headbox sizes and 9 aluminium roller barrels ensure that the ideal hardware choice can be made to support the overall size of the blind and weight of the fabric chosen.
An extensive range of high performance fabrics from screen and flyscreens in the Solarscene range through to 100% blackout materials in the Solarblock range are available. In the UK SHY® is the only partner for Verosol’s unique metallised fabrics with unrivalled performance in terms of light and heat control. See Fabrics page
Sunfacta blinds can be installed on vertical windows, sloping windows, tilting windows, rooflights and atria, shaped glazing and even curved areas such as glazed domes, cupolas or barrel vaulted roofs. Sunfacta blinds can even pull upwards (lifting).
Sunfacta blinds can be operated by side chain mechanism, crank (gearbox), or motorised and operated electrically.
With our box and hem bar, the standard colours are white (RAL 9910) and black (RAL 9005) 60% gloss.
Natural anodised is also possible on some box sizes as standard and others depending on quantity.
However, we are able to paint these to almost any colour (and we are sometimes asked for some very odd and interesting colours), but usually one of the more standard colours from the RAL colour range.
A pot of touch up paint is supplied on all special colour paint orders. We also carry touch up paint in our standard black and white.
Other minor parts/components are either white black or grey and chosen by us to complement the paint colour chosen… Unless you tell us otherwise.
