Such is the versatility of SHY’s commercial roller blind systems that sometimes they are used in less commercial buildings! This individually designed London Penthouse incorporated large glazing to maximise views and light and needed a shading solution to control light and heat gain.

This individually designed London Penthouse incorporated large glazing to maximise views and light. Tensioned SHY ZIP® roof blinds plus Sunfacta and Obscura window blinds were used throughout to control light and heat gain.

In family rooms and bedrooms a twin roller system was used to provide shading using Solarscene fabrics, and blackout using Solarblock fabrics depending on the needs of the occupier.

Additionally, the fabric for each room was different depending on the orientation and decor. All blinds were motorised and operated by radio controlled switching.
