No power, no problem

Even when mains power isn’t available, there are still shading solutions possible for long angled rooflights such as this one in a suburban conservatory.

When there was no power for this conservatory's shading, SHY designed and manufactured three gear (crank) operated ZIP® rooflight blinds to control both glare and heat.

Conservatories bring additional space and light into properties but can often pose a challenge when considering shading solutions when mains power is not available.

In this suburban conservatory, its angled, 3-pane rooflight measures over 6m and needed a manual shading solution to control both glare and heat.

SHY designed and manufactured three gear (crank) operated ZIP® rooflight blinds which are suitable for both domestic and commercial installations for areas up to 2.7m wide and 3.6m long.

Specified and expertly installed by Shading Specialists, each blind measures 2.1m x 1.4m. Fabric joins were avoided by using SHY’s 3% charcoal Solarscene SG1500 glass fibre screen fabric which gives glare and heat control whilst still allowing a sky view.

Whilst standard hardware colours are black or white however in this instance, they were powder coated to a RAL colour so they match the window frames.
